A sixty-second video as introduction to the website sets the tone of the Foundation’s mission: three portraits of women, who represent women everywhere and are filmed during a moment of their daily lives –a student at a café terrace, a mum or young grandmother playing with a kid in a park, a woman in a car leaving for a dinner. They are all very natural, elegant and full of life. Text then appears superimposed on the image: the two objectives of the Foundation and some key information which show us that the problem of violence concerns us all, men and women alike. The film has no dialogue, it comes with sounds from the street and a piano music on the last 20 seconds. - The PPR Corporate Foundation fights violence against women and promotes women’s empowerment. - At least one out of three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. Violence towards women devastates lives and stalls development. Women are the heart of communities’ equilibrium as they are the cornerstone of pillars such as family, education, and economy. Once viewed, the movie can be shut down and becomes a part of the homepage puzzle.
