The Foundation intends to back projects in favour of women victims of violence at various steps of their life.
The Foundation structures its action around five key pillars:
Support to projects addressing violence against women or women’s empowerment:
The Foundation selects and supports projects proposed by local and international NGOs in favour of women victims of violence. Preference is afforded to projects based on a pragmatic and realistic approach to the issues addressed. Backing may be granted in the form of financial and/or human resources.
- Loans to Microfinance Institutions (MFI): The Foundation extends loans to microfinance institutions helping women access microcredit facilities.
- Social Entrepreneurs’ Awards: In line with PPR’s corporate values of entrepreneurship, boldness and adventure, three or four social entrepreneurs in France and abroad are selected every year for the economic viability and the social added value of their projects in favour of women.
- Awareness raising and prevention programmes: The Foundation initiates and publicizes awareness and prevention programmes on issues of violence against women and women’s empowerment.
- CSR consultancy and assistance to PPR brands and companies on their own solidarity initiatives: In the scope of the common 7 CSR key priorities defined by PPR in 2007, brands and companies set their respective specific goals based on their own business activities. The Foundation’s Management Team provides advice and guidance to help them define and implement the goals linked to Priority 7, i.e. “Implement solidarity programmes related to companies’ business activity”.
