Other debates on women’s rights and health took place at French Fnac stores in Lyon, Nantes, Boulogne and Grenoble.
That’s the amount collected thanks to the special Desert Flower Preview organised on March, 7 by the PPR Foundation supported by PPR Group. All the funds have been given to the Équilibres & Populations French NGO to support its pilot project to promote the elimination of Female Genital Mutilation in Malian communities. The Desert Flower movie gathered more than 130,000 admissions! Watch the video presenting the NGO's action in Mali, which will be developed over 100 villages in 2010/11 thanks to these funds.

Discover in pictures the Dar-Ul-Aman, shelters for women victims of violence, in Pakistan. The PPR Foundation supports the programme piloted by the NGO Médecins du Monde in partnership with the province of Punjab, which aims at improving medical, psychological and social services, to reach self-management in 2012.

March, 27 and 28, the 5th meeting “Women for a better world” gathered female politics from Africa, Europe and Latin America in Valence, Spain. Among them figured 56 ministers, 2 Heads of State (Finland and Liberia) and African representatives for 50 of the 53 countries. They asked for a stronger women involvement in the international financial system reform.
