At its 23 July 2009 meeting, the Foundation's Selection Committee decided to grant €22,800 to the Equilibres & Populations project in Mali. The grant is intended to fund healthcare kits (to treat cases of complications).
Pursuing its partnership with Equilibres & Populations, the PPR Foundation organised March, 7, 2010 a charity preview of Desert Flower and collected €55,000 to support the expansion of the pilot project to 40 new villages in the region of Kayes in 2010/2011.
End of 2010 the objectiv of the organization is to extend its project to 100 villages, i.e 100,000 inhabitants, half of which are women. It would permit to avoid the excision of 2,000 girls.
